- 4 to 6 c. sliced apples (6 to 8 medium apples)
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2/3 c. enriched flour
- 2 c. quick or old fashioned uncooked roll oats
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 stick melted butter or oleo
Directions

1Place apples in greased, shallow baking dish (2-quart casserole).

2Sprinkle with lemon juice.

3Combine dry ingredients, add melted butter, mixing until crumbly.

4Sprinkle crumb mixture on top of apples.

5Bake in a moderate oven at 375° for 30 minutes or until apples are tender.

6Serve warm or cold with ice cream or whipped cream.

7If apples are very tart, sweeten slightly.

8Serves 6.
