  • 3 apples, peeled and sliced
  • little water
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • piece of butter size of a walnut
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. milk, heated almost to boiling
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Directions

    Cook first 4 ingredients slightly, until apples cook up a little.

    Beat eggs and add other ingredients, then add first mixture.

    Place in pie crust and bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes, then at 300° for 25 to 30 minutes more.
