  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. apples, chopped
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp. milk

Directions

    Beat sugar, margarine and eggs well. Add flour gradually, beating well. Add vanilla, apples, cinnamon and nuts (if using). Mix ingredients well. Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan or any tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 325°. Let cool about 30 minutes, then turn into cake plate.
