- 3 cups Sugar, Divided
- 1-1/2 cup Butter, Divided
- 4 whole Eggs
- 2 cups Flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 6 whole Apples, Peeled And Cubed
- 1 cup Half-and-half
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
Directions

1In a medium sized bowl, add 2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup butter (at room temperature) and eggs; mix together until creamy. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking soda. Combine all ingredients in one bowl, and add the cubed apples. Bake in a greased 13x9 pan for 60 minutes at 350°F.

2During the last 15 minutes while the cake is baking, you can prepare the caramel sauce. On the stovetop, combine the remaining 1 cup butter, the half-and-half, brown sugar, and remaining 1 cup sugar. Bring to a boil and add the vanilla.
