  • 12 medium-small apples, peeled and cored
  • cinnamon-sugar (1 c. sugar mixed with 3 Tbsp. cinnamon)
  • butter or margarine, about 1/2 tsp. for each dumpling
  • pastry for 2 (9-inch) pies

Directions

    Roll out 1/4 of dough.

    Slice into quarters.

    Place a peeled and cored apple on each quarter.

    Fill the cored center of the apple with cinnamon-sugar.

    Top with 1/2 teaspoon butter or margarine.

    Enclose the apple with the dough and stretch the dough around it to seal it.

    Place in cake pan.

    Bake the dumplings at 375° for 40 minutes.
