- 12 medium-small apples, peeled and cored
- cinnamon-sugar (1 c. sugar mixed with 3 Tbsp. cinnamon)
- butter or margarine, about 1/2 tsp. for each dumpling
- pastry for 2 (9-inch) pies
Directions

1Roll out 1/4 of dough.

2Slice into quarters.

3Place a peeled and cored apple on each quarter.

4Fill the cored center of the apple with cinnamon-sugar.

5Top with 1/2 teaspoon butter or margarine.

6Enclose the apple with the dough and stretch the dough around it to seal it.

7Place in cake pan.

8Bake the dumplings at 375° for 40 minutes.

9Yields 1 dozen.
