- 2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons shortening
- 1 cup milk
- 6 apples
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven at 350.

2Pare and core the apples.

3Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

4Add shortening and milk; mix until smooth.

5Put onto a floured surface and divide into six portions.

6Roll a large enough portion to cover and apple.

7Place an apple on each piece of dough.

8Fill the apple with the cinnamon and sugar.

9Wet edges of dough and fold it over the apple.

10Place on greased baking sheet, and bake for about 40 minutes, or until tender.
