Apple Dumplings(German Style)

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • apples
  • favorite pie crust

Directions

    Boil the sugar, water, butter and cinnamon for 3 minutes.

    Set aside.

    Roll favorite pie crust into squares. Core but do not peel the apples.

    Slice and place in center of crust.

    Pour liquid over dumplings. Seal crust and twist.

    Dot with butter.

    Bake at 425° for 45 minutes. Baste every 10 minutes.
