  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 pastry shell (9 inch), baked, cooled
  • 1/2 cup sugar, divided
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup small hot cinnamon candies
  • 4 cups sliced peeled apples Safeway 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09

  • 2 tsp. cornstarch

    Mix cream cheese, 2 Tbsp.

    sugar, the milk and vanilla until well blended.

    Spread onto bottom of pastry shell.

    Place 1/2 cup sugar, the water and candies in large saucepan; cook on low heat until candies are completely melted, stirring occasionally.

    Add apples; cook 8 to 10 min.

    or until tender.

    Drain apples, reserving 1/2 cup of the liquid; pour into small saucepan.

    Add lemon juice and cornstarch; stir until well blended.

    Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.

    Arrange apples over cream cheese mixture; drizzle evenly with apple glaze.
