Ingredients
- 4 c. diced, peeled apples
- 1 c. broken nuts
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 3 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. melted margarine
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
Directions

1In a medium bowl, stir apples, nuts and sugar together.

2Let stand 1 hour, stirring often so mixture will make its own juice. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, soda and spices.

3Add apple mixture.

4Stir well.

5Mix in margarine and vanilla.

6Mix in eggs. Pour into 2 loaf pans.

7Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove to finish cooling.
