Ingredients
- 1 orange
- 6 medium apples, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped (6 c.)
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 5 c. sugar
Directions

1Quarter unpeeled orange; remove seeds and thinly slice.

2In an 8 to 10-quart kettle or Dutch oven, combine the first 3 ingredients and 2 cups water.

3Bring to boiling.

4Reduce heat; simmer until apples are tender.

5Add sugar.

6Bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly.

7Cook and stir until thickened and clear.

8Remove from heat.

9Skim off foam.

10Pour at once into hot, sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace.

11Adjust lids. Process in boiling water bath (half pints) for 15 minutes.

12Makes 6 half pints.
