Ingredients

  • 1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 3-4 cups apples, Sliced and unpeeled
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 box yellow cake mix, butter recipe
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

    Lightly grease and 8x12 baking dish.

    Pour pineapple into dish.

    In a bowl mix apples, 1/4 cup of sugar and lemon juice. Lay on top of pineapple.

    Sprinkle with cake mix.

    Top with melted butter, remaining sugar and pecans.

    Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

    Take out and cut into squares, bake an additional 30 minutes.

    May be served warm topped with vanilla ice cream.
