- 4 c. coarsely chopped apples
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Combine apples and sugar and let stand.

2Beat eggs slightly. Beat in oil and vanilla.

3Combine sifted flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

4Stir in alternately with apple-sugar mixture. Stir in nuts.

5Pour into greased oblong pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

6Let cool.

7Frost if desired with lemon frosting.
