- 1 1/2 c. sifted four
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. melted fat or oil
- 2 c. very finely chopped apples
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together.

2Combine the egg, milk and fat. Add gradually to the dry ingredients.

3Stir only until batter is smooth.

4Fold in apples.

5Drop by spoonfuls onto a hot, greased griddle.

6Cook slowly until the surface is covered with bubbles. Turn and cook until the bottom is well browned.
