- pastry for two crust pie
- 3 c. thinly sliced, pared ripe Bartlett pears
- 3 c. thinly sliced, pared tart apples
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. grated ginger
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Roll out dough for bottom half of pie and refrigerate.

3In large bowl, combine pears, apples, honey, nutmeg, ginger and salt.

4Add flour.

5Turn into pastry lined pie plate, mounding high in center.

6Dot with butter.

7Top with remaining pie crust; make several slits near center.

8Bake at 425° for 45 to 50 minutes.

9Great served warm with whipped cream.
