- 2 gal. apples, sliced
- 4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1 pie shell
- butter (for top)
- allspice (sprinkle on top)
Directions

1Mix apples sugar and vinegar in a large container.

2Let set for 3 to 4 hours, then bring to a boil.

3Let boil 5 minutes.

4Have shell ready.

5Use enough apples to fill 1 pie shell.

6Put butter on top, then sprinkle allspice over top.

7Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until thickened.

8Make more pies with unused apples or put in freezer bags and freeze for later use.
