- 7 to 8 medium, tart apples, peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick
- 1 Tbsp. flour, blended with 2/3 to 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Mix all ingredients together and toss with apples.

2Place apple mixture into pie dish lined with pie crust.

3Brush edges of crust with milk.

4Lay pastry for upper crust.

5Trim edges and flute.

6Pierce with fork for steam vents.

7Sprinkle top crust with cinnamon-sugar mix.

8Bake in hot oven (450°) for 15 minutes, then reduce to 325° for 35 minutes.
