  • pastry for 9 in double crust pie
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 cups apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Directions

    Line pie plate with half the pastry; leave 1 inch overhang. Combine all ingredients except butter; coat evenly. Pour in pie shell; dot with 1 tablespoon butter. Top with pastry, flute the edge and cut steam vents. Bake at 425° for 50 minutes.
