- 4 cups apples, granny smith peeled, sliced
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour, all-purpose
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 each pie shell (9 inch)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons light cream (half&half)
- 1/2 cup pecans chopped
Directions

1Prepare bottom crust in plate.

2Heat oven to 425 degrees F. Combine filling ingredients and pour into pie shell.

3Dot with the 2 tablespoon butter.

4Place top crust over all and seal and flute edge.

5Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until golden.

6Cover edges with foil to prevent overbrowning.

7Remove from oven and set aside, leaving oven on.

8Remove foil if used.

9Blend all topping ingredients and warm on stovetop in a small saucepan.

10Pour over pie.

11Place on cookie sheet and bake an additional 3 to 4 minutes or until top bubbles.

12Cool 2 hours before service.
