  • 2 cups flour
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 12 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4 tablespoons shortening
  • 8 apples, peeled and grated
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 12 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions

    Mix first 7 ingredients to make a dough.

    Roll out on floured surface to a rectangle.

    Spread with grated apples.

    Roll up like a jelly roll and cut into 1-1/2 in slices.

    Make a syrup with sugar, water and cinnamon.

    Place in bottom of 13x9in pan.

    Lay dough slices on top.

    Bake at 350* for 45 minutes.
