- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 3/4 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 8 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 4 to 6 apples
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seed
Directions

1Melt butter.

2Dissolve yeast in warm water.

3Add buttermilk, melted butter, 6 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, egg and whole wheat flour.

4Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.

5Let rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes.

6Punch down.

7Peel apples and cut into wedges.
