- 4 apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 13 cup water
- 14-12 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 14 teaspoon ground ginger
Directions

1Put apples and water into medium saucepan.

2Cover and bring to a boil over med-high heat.

3Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, still covered, stirring occasionally.

4Mash apples with fork or potato masher (they should yield easily).

5Return to heat for a couple minutes, stirring occasionally.

6Remove from heat.

7Stir in spices.

8Serve warm or cold.
