  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/3 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. butter (for sauteing apples)
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, pared and thin sliced
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. orange or ginger marmalade, melted

    Beat butter and sugar together until fluffy.

    Beat in egg and salt.

    Gradually add flour to make a soft dough.

    Cover tightly. Refrigerate 30 minutes.

    Roll dough on floured surface to make 10-inch circle.

    Place in glass quiche pan or round tart pan.
