  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 13 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 lbs baking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 12 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour

Directions

    preheat oven to 350.

    grease a 9 round springform pan.

    cream together butter,sugar and egg until fluffy.

    add in flour,baking powder,salt,cinnamon,nutmeg.

    press 3/4 of the mixture into the bottom of the pan,it will be thin.

    toss apples with sugar,cornstarch lemon juice,butter,cream and cinnamon.

    Layer over dough.

    for the topping add 2 tablespoons flour and 2 tablespoons sugar to the remaining dough to make it crumbly.

    sprinkle on top of appples.

    bake for 1 hour or until topping in a pale golden color.
