- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/3 c. shredded coconut
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 (12 oz.) jar apricot preserves
Directions

1In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.

2Add eggs.

3Mix well.

4In separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder.

5Gradually add to butter mixture.

6Add coconut, nuts and vanilla.

7Mix thoroughly.

8Press 2/3 of dough into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread on preserves.

9Crumble remaining dough on top.

10Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
