Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. margarine or butter
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. dried apricots
  • 3/4 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. sugar

Directions

    Cut up apricots.

    Put in water to cover, boil and simmer 15 minutes until soft (may need extra water).

    Mash with fork.

    Add lemon juice, cornstarch and sugar.

    Mix well; bring to boil for 1 minute.

    Stir constantly; cool about 15 minutes.

    Pour and spread over crust.

    Sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped nuts.

    Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Cool.
