Ingredients
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 c. finely cut dried apricots
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients in to bowl.

2Mix liquid ingredients and add to the first bowl all at once.

3Stir until flour is moistened. Very quickly, stir in apricots and nuts.

4Turn into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan and bake at 325° for about 1 1/4 hours.

5Turn up the oven heat during the last few minutes if the loaf doesn't seem to be browning.

6Remove from pan at once; cool on a rack.

7Store overnight before slicing.
