Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 2/3 c. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. dried apricots, cooked and drained

Directions

    Mix butter, granulated sugar and 2 cups flour.

    Press this in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake 25 minutes at 350°.

    Beat egg, brown sugar, remaining flour, baking powder and salt.

    Mix well. Add vanilla, nuts and apricots.

    Spread over baked layer and bake 30 minutes at 350°.

    Cool and cut into squares.
