- 12 cup butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- hot sauce
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 cup shredded American cheese
- 1 cup shredded colby cheese
- 6 slices white bread, toasted
- sliced chicken or turkey
- sliced ham
- 6 slices tomatoes
- 6 slices bacon, cut in half and cooked until crisp
- paprika
Directions

1Heat oven to 400 degrees.

2In a heavy 4-qt saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

3Mix in flour until smooth.

4Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.

5Add hot sauce and parmesean cheese; remove from heat.

6Place 1/2 cup of sauce in a small bowl; set remaining sauce aside.

7Combine egg yolks with 1/2 cup of sauce, mixing well.

8Stir egg mixture back into reserved sauce and return to heat, stirring constantly.

9Add Colby& American cheeses; stir until melted.

10Remove from heat.

11Place bread slices on individual heat-resistant plates.

12Cover bread with slices of chicken or turkey and ham.

13Cover each serving with some of the sauce and top with a tomato slice and two pieces of the bacon.

14Sprinkle with paprika.

15Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until bubbly.
