  • 1/2 peck artichokes
  • 4 green peppers
  • 4 red peppers
  • 8 c. sugar
  • 12 medium onions
  • 2 1/2 qt. vinegar
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 1 box dry mustard
  • 3 tsp. turmeric
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Make paste of flour, mustard, salt and 1 pint vinegar.

    Heat 2 quarts vinegar, sugar and hot pepper.

    Bring to boil.

    Add flour paste.

    Chop or dice vegetables and add.

    Stir until vegetables are heated.

    Do not boil.

    Add turmeric.

    Stir.

    Put in jars.

    Yield: 16 to 18 pints.
