- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. milk
- 1 large can asparagus
- crushed potato chips to suit
Directions

1Melt butter over low heat in saucepan. Blend in flour and seasoning. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.

2Stir in milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

3Add grated cheese; stir until melted.

4Place half of the asparagus in baking dish. Top with half of the cheese sauce and potato chips. Repeat with another layer of asparagus, sauce and potato chips.

5Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
