- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced and drained (save juice and add to soup)
- 1 can LeSueur green peas, drained
- melted butter
- sharp cheese, grated
- bread slices
Directions

1Arrange asparagus spears in bottom of casserole.

2Mix soup and juice from water chestnuts.

3Add water chestnuts and green peas and mix well.

4Pour this mixture over the asparagus in baking dish.
