- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can asparagus
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can English peas
- 1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 4 bread slices, trimmed and cut into 3 pieces each
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Drain asparagus and place in baking dish.

2Cover with peas and soup, mixed.

3Add sliced water chestnuts and sprinkle with cheese. Melt butter in shallow dish.

4Dredge the 12 pieces of bread in butter and place on top of casserole.

5Bake 30 minutes at 350°.
