Asparagus Soup

Ingredients
- 4 c. asparagus, cut
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. dry thyme
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. flour mixed with 1 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1/2 c. white cooking sherry
- 2 c. milk
Directions

1In a pot melt butter.

2Add oregano, thyme, garlic and asparagus.

3Simmer 10 minutes.

4Add flour, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly.

5Cool 2 minutes, then add broth.

6Stir and simmer until thick.

7Add wine and milk and allow to come to boil.

8Remove from heat.
-
9Serves 6 to 8.
