Ingredients
- 8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 c. crushed Ritz crackers
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 large cans asparagus spears, drained (reserve liquid)
- 1/2 c. almonds
- 1 (2 1/2 oz.) can deviled ham (optional)
Directions

1Combine cheese and crackers.

2Mix butter, soup and reserved asparagus liquid together.

3Add ham, if desired.

4Layer in casserole dish in this order:

5cheese and cracker mixture, asparagus spears, almonds and half of soup mixture.

6Repeat layers, ending with cracker mixture on top.

7Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350°.

8This can bake longer.

9(Good for suppers that wait.)
