Ingredients
- 1/3 c. onion, minced
- 20 ml garlic, finely minced
- 1 Tbsp. corn oil
- 1 c. split green peas, soaked, cooked, liquid removed, mas
- 1/2 tsp tumeric, grnd
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tsp warm green pepper, finely
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Atar Allecha is a spiced green pea puree.

2Soak peas for one hour.

3Cook for 1/2 hour.

4Drain.

5Mash.

6Set aside.

7In dry pan over moderate low heat, stir fry the onion and garlic for 2 mins.

8Add in oil and stir fry one minute more.

9Add in the mashed peas, tumeric, salt, and chili.

10Mix well.

11Add in the water and cook 3-4 mins longer to reduce the mix to a thick, green, well spiced puree.

12Serve with hot Injeera.
