  • 5 or 6 qt. popped popcorn
  • 2 c. dark brown sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla (optional)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 250°. Bring all ingredients except popped corn and soda to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and carefully add soda. Pour over the popped corn. Place in oven for 1 hour. Stir every 10 to 15 minutes. Yum!
