  • 10 eggs
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 lb. crystallized pineapple
  • 1 lb. cherries, halved
  • 1 lb. citron, finely cut
  • 4 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. wine
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 10 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 c. flour (1 self-rising, 3 plain)
  • 1/2 c. syrup
  • 3/4 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 c. wine
  • 2 lb. raisins (1 seeded, 1 seedless; may use only seedless)
  • 1 lb. each: pineapple, cherries and citron, finely cut
  • 1 qt. nuts, finely cut

    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time.

    Stir the soda into the syrup and add to the egg mixture.

    Then add the flour and wine alternately.

    Put into 2 large pans which have been lined with wax paper and greased.
