  • 9/16 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 green apples or Gala, peeled, cored, and cubed
  • fresh lemon juice squeeze of
  • 1 cup apple cider

Directions

    In a heavy bottomed pot heat up the sugar and water together until boiling. Keep at boiling a few minutes then remove from heat and let cool completely.

    Blend together the apples, lemon juice, and apple cider.

    Add in the cooled simple syrup and blend everything well.

    Pour the mixture into an ice cream machine and follow the manufacturer's directions then freeze.

    If you do not have a machine, pour the mixture into a shallow metal container, freeze, and stir every 30 minutes until a sorbet forms.
