Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. cold water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 6 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- melted butter
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450° for 10 minutes.

2Cream shortening and sugar together.

3Slowly add boiling water.

4When almost dissolved, add the cup of cold water.

5When this mixture is lukewarm, add the yeast and allow to dissolve.

6Add beaten eggs, flour and salt; mix well.

7Refrigerate overnight.

8Roll to 1/2-inch thickness.

9Cut with biscuit cutter.

10Brush tops with melted butter, fold over and rebutter.

11Place in warm place 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
