- 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3/4 c. chopped celery
- 3 potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 lb. chopped broccoli
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. dill
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions

1Drain bacon on towel; add to drippings the onions, letting them brown slightly.

2Add celery, potatoes and broccoli. Sprinkle with dill, salt and pepper.

3Pour water over mixture. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

4Stir in milk before soup reaches the boiling; stir in cheese.

5Simmer until melted.

6Serve with crumbled bacon on top.
