- 6 slices bacon
- 6 slices white bread, trimmed of crust
- 6 slices wheat bread, trimmed of crust
- 1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 Tbsp. green onions, minced
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Fry bacon until crisp; drain and break into small pieces. Generously grease a 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish. Arrange 6 bread slices in bottom of dish alternating bread types if desired. Sprinkle bacon pieces, cheese and onions over bread.

2Top with remaining 6 bread slices, alternating or matching bread types. Beat eggs in a large bowl. Add milk and pepper.

3Pour mixture over sandwiches.

4Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight. Uncover dish.

5Bake in preheated 325° oven for 50 to 55 minutes until puffed and golden brown and knife inserted near center comes out clean.
