Bacon Fried Shrooms

Ingredients

  • 8 slice bacon
  • 10 button mushrooms; medium-thick slices
  • 2 clove garlic; minced
  • 1 tsp thyme; minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • 1 vegetable oil; as needed

Directions

    Place bacon on a sheet tray and bake at 350 for approximately 20-25 minutes or until bacon is crispy and has rendered it's fat.

    Remove bacon from tray and set aside.

    Pour bacon fat into a large saute pan.

    Add mushrooms.

    Season.

    Saute on high heat for one minute to get a sear.

    Turn heat down to medium.

    Add garlic.

    Saute until garlic is fragrant and mushrooms have caramelized.

    Add oil only if necessary.
