- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 2 Tbsp. dry yeast (2 pkg.)
- pinch of sugar
- 2 c. warm water
- 8 c. unbleached all-purpose flour (approximately)
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 qt. water
- 2 Tbsp. kosher salt
- sesame, poppy or caraway seed
Directions

1Melt the margarine in the scalded milk.

2Proof the yeast with a pinch of sugar in the warm water.

3Combine the two liquid mixtures and gradually blend in the flour and the salt until a soft, sticky dough is formed.

4(A food processor is fine to start this.)

5Knead well and place in greased bowl.

6Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk (about 1 hour).

7Preheat the oven to 400°.

8Boil about 3 quarts water with 2 tablespoons kosher salt.
