  • 5 lb. potatoes
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 3 slices bread
  • 1 1/2 (12 oz.) cans milk (18 oz. canned milk)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Peel and grate potatoes; drain well, then add chopped onions. Fry bacon crisp; crumble into batter.

    Plus the bacon fat.

    Soak bread in water and squeeze out water.

    Crumble into potato batter. Add milk, salt and pepper; bake at 350° for one hour.
