- 4 McIntosh apples (2 lb.)
- 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Wash and dry apples.

2Do not peel.

3Cut each apple into eight wedges.

4Arrange wedges in a circle in 10-inch pie plate.

5Sprinkle with nutmeg, sugar and walnuts.

6Drizzle with butter.

7Bake, uncovered, in preheated 350° oven until tender and crisp and apples hold their shape, about 20 minutes.

8Serve hot topped with ice cream.
