- 2 lb. beans, dry soldier beans or any preference
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 1/2 lb. salt pork
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. maple syrup
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 to 3 small onions, chopped
Directions

1Cover beans with cold water overnight.

2Drain and rinse. Cover with cold water, add 1 teaspoon baking soda.

3Bring to a boil and simmer 1 hour (test for doneness by blowing on a spoonful, they should split).

4Drain, but save cooking water.
