- 6 slices bacon, diced
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 2 cans diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 cup water
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2In a Dutch oven, cook bacon over medium heat until browned and crispy.

3Add onions and a dash of salt and pepper.

4Allow to cook for a few minutes.

5In a large bowl, mix together pinto beans, brown sugar and diced tomatoes.

6Add to Dutch oven and allow cooking.

7Add 1 cup of water.

8Cook for 30 minutes.
