  • 1/2 lb. bacon, cubed
  • 1/2 lb. smoked sausage, cubed
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes or 2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. regular sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 large can baked beans, rinsed

Directions

    In a large skillet fry the bacon and sausage until brown.

    Add the onions and bell pepper.

    Cook 5 minutes. Combine the chili powder, cumin and red pepper flakes or Tabasco sauce and add to ingredients. Cook 5 minutes. Combine the brown sugar, regular sugar and cider vinegar.

    Cook 5 minutes. Add the beans and cook 15 minutes.
