  • 2 cans (1 lb.) pork and beans
  • 1/2 c. green peppers, minced
  • 1/2 c. onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 lb. bacon, crumbled (microwave)
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • 1/2 c. dark syrup
  • 4 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 4 slices onion (on top)

Directions

    Fry bacon, brown onions and green peppers until tender in bacon grease.

    Mix all together.

    Bake in 2-quart covered casserole for 45 minutes at 375°.

    Great with baked ham or a barbecue.
