- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 6 qt. popped corn
- 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Melt butter over low heat; stir in sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

2Let boil 5 minutes without stirring.

3Remove from heat; stir in soda and vanilla.

4Gradually pour over corn.

5Mix well.

6Turn into two large baking pans.

7Bake in slow oven (250°) 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

8Remove from oven; cool completely.

9Store in tightly covered containers.
